Whilst patch follows a common trend, new characterizations try fresh and the shows suitable to overbalance. Dialogue try terse and you can relevant, preventing the psychological, phoney touch. Uncommon digital camera angles come-along occasionally so you’re able to escalate attention and you can temporarily arrest the interest. Solid teamplay by the Robert Rossen, increasing given that movie director-scripter, and you will Milton Holmes, completely new journalist and you will member music producer, including helps with making it a silky creation.” [ 11 ]

Its mainly an issue of enjoying Mr. Powell proceed through their paces fashionably whenever you are a massive throw off actors and performers offer him typical help. Evelyn Keyes takes on the good little woman who brings out the fresh finest in your and you may Ellen Received is the easy and you will slinky vixen who will get him for the jams. Thomas Gomez was fatty since the villain and you will Lee J. Cobb does a different able tour given that a tired cops inspector who in the end closes the scenario. Many consuming and you will smoking is performed by the all worried.” [ several ]
